Street Sheet Coordinated Entry Page

Are you experiencing homelessness and have no place to stay?

INDIVIDUALS

New Bedford’s Coordinated Entry System works to connect individuals who are experiencing homelessness outside or in a place not meant for human habitation (such as in a car, tent or abandoned building) or are fleeing/attempting to flee a domestic violence situation to services.

Coordinated Entry will work to connect households to any housing opportunity that is available.

Please call Coordinated Entry at

FAMILIES

Massachusetts is a “right to shelter” state.  This means for families (meaning those who are pregnant or have children under 21 years old) in need of shelter, you must call the MA Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities through the Department of Transitional Assistance: 866.584.0653 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday.  A call center representative will record your contact information and refer you to a Homeless Coordinator if you want to apply.  The Homeless Coordinator will help you complete your application and see if you are eligible.

You may also apply by visiting one of the state’s offices in person. The New Bedford office is located at 160 West Rodney French Boulevard, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Shelter

School MV Liaisons

The City of New Bedford’s Homeless Service Provider’s Network (HSPN) created this “Street Sheet” to identify important resources available to you—where to get a meal, how to find shelter and where to call for help that you need right now.

Some providers or programs may have changed since the last update of this webpage.
Please check with the agency to verify their current service capabilities/offerings.
