BRISTOL COUNTY CONTINUUM OF CARE

The CoC pursues a comprehensive response to homelessness using a “Continuum of Care” methodology through a community-based network. The BCCC is a membership-driven collective of over 60 organizations, agencies and individuals committed to working together in addressing all variants of homelessness particularly those experiencing chronic homelessness and those unsheltered/unhoused.

CITY WINS FEDERAL HOMELESS ASSISTANCE FUNDS!

COLD WEATHER OVERFLOW SHELTER – WINTER 2021-2022

Overiew prepared by Steppingstone, Inc.  Steppingstone Inc. is providing emergency shelter through a Cold Weather Overflow Shelter Project to unsheltered homeless at a local motel (with a total of 25-30 units set aside for the overflow shelter).  This will be offered when there is no vacancy at either of the Catholic Social Services’ (CSS) Shelters. SISTER ROSE AWARD ANNOUNCED FOR 2021

The HSPN presented its Annual Sister Rose Award for 2021 to Patrick J. Sullivan during its virtual January HSPN membership meeting. The award recognizes an outstanding current or former member of the New Bedford HSPN or member agency staff and is named in honor of its first recipient, Sister Rose Ellen Gallogly, former Executive Director of Market Ministries (renamed the Sister Rose House) and one of the founding members of the HSPN. 2021 RANKING of COC PROPOSALS

The City of New Bedford’s HSPN has received, reviewed and voted on the 2021 Final CoC Rank and Order of Projects.  the HSPN’s Performance Review Committee (PRC) comprised of HSPN members with no relationship–financial or otherwise–to any of the applicants for funding in the FY2021 round received, reviewed, vetted, evaluated, scored and ranked all applications for this competition.  There were three new applications received in this competition round, two of which were expansion projects.
