HMIS DOCUMENTS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!

September 5, 2019 By NBHSPN

At its August 15, 2019 membership meeting, the New Bedford Homeless Service Providers Network (HSPN) voted to update its Policies and Procedures document (available here:HMIS POLICIES PROCEDURES.2019 FINAL) as well as its Governance document (available here: HMIS GOVERNANCE.2019 FINAL) that guides the HSPN’s use of data.  These documents describe the way in which the organization’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is to be administered and operated in order to ensure the highest quality data.

Although the use of HMIS is encouraged by all services, shelters, transitional housing and permanent housing projects working through the City’s homeless system, it is a requirement of those receiving Continuum of Care (CoC) project funding as well as those receiving Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding.

Questions about the HSPN’s HMIS may be directed to Jennifer Clarke, Deputy Director at the City’s Office of Housing & Community Development at Jennifer.Clarke@newbedford-ma.gov.
