The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released Part 1 of the 2025 Annual Homelessness Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress, which presents national, state, and Continuum of Care (CoC) estimates of homelessness based on the January 2025 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count and Housing Inventory Count (HIC).

The report, available online here, provides data on overall homelessness as well as trends among key populations including individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, veterans, families with children, and unaccompanied youth. AHAR findings are based on PIT Count, HIC, and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) data collected nationwide.
