BRISTOL COUNTY CONTINUUM OF CARE

The CoC pursues a comprehensive response to homelessness using a “Continuum of Care” methodology through a community-based network. The BCCC is a membership-driven collective of over 60 organizations, agencies and individuals committed to working together in addressing all variants of homelessness particularly those experiencing chronic homelessness and those unsheltered/unhoused.

RACIAL EQUITY PLAN NOW AVAILABLE!

Racial Equity Assessment & Action Plan The HSPN used CoC Planning funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development to develop a Racial Equity Assessment and Action Plan in late 2023 and completed this effort in early 2024. This work was undertaken by the nationally-recognized Racial Equity Partners (REP) with the support of the HSPN Racial Equity Workgroup. COORDINATED ENTRY REBOOT 2024

We are pleased to announce it’s a new day for Coordinated Entry! New Bedford’s new Coordinated Entry System (CES) is focusing on individuals and families in our community who are currently experiencing homelessness. WINTER OVERFLOW SHELTER INFORMATION 2023 – 2024

Overview prepared by Catholic Charities  Catholic Charities is providing emergency shelter through a Cold Weather Overflow Shelter Project to unsheltered homeless at a local motel (with a total of 15 units set aside and a total capacity of 30 beds for the overflow shelter).  This will be offered when there is no vacancy at either of the Catholic Charities Shelters. 2023 COC – APPROVED CONSOLIDATED APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE!

2023 COC RANKING OF PROJECTS

The City of New Bedford’s HSPN has received, reviewed and voted on the 2023 Final CoC Rank and Order of Projects.  the HSPN’s Performance Review Committee (PRC) comprised of HSPN members with no relationship–financial or otherwise–to any of the applicants for funding in the FY2023 round received, reviewed, vetted, evaluated, scored and ranked all applications for this competition.  This year the PRC's review included individual interviews/presentations from all projects.
